New Consumer Safety Website
The CSPC has launched a new website, www.saferproducts.gov, to help consumers more easily find recall and product safety information. The site features a searchable database of reports and recalls that can also be browsed by category, and links for consumers to report unsafe products and businesses (manufacturers and distributors) to register and respond to complaints.
The site was mandated by Congress in order to make the process of determining product safety quicker and more accessible to consumers. See the site’s About and FAQ links for more detailed information.
