Back to school sales tax holiday
Back in May, Florida Governor Charlie Crist signed into law a tax holiday for back to school items, to be held from Friday Aug. 13 to Sunday Aug. 15. According to the press release,
“Floridians will not pay sales tax on books, clothing and footwear that cost $50 or less, as well as school supplies that cost $10 or less.”
Sounds like a good deal to me. I’ve actually already scheduled “shopping” on my calendar for that weekend. I just hope the stores don’t run out of crayons by then.
